MLB: Colorado 4, San Diego 0

DENVER, July 1 (UPI) -- Aaron Cook pitched a complete game for the first shutout of his career Tuesday, carrying the Colorado Rockies to a 4-0 win over the San Diego Padres.

Cook (11-5) gave up five hits and the Rockies ended an eight-game losing streak.

Garrett Atkins and Willy Taveras each had a hit and an RBI in the win.

Josh Banks (2-3) was charged with the loss after allowing four runs on six hits in five innings.
