Jankovic fell in straight sets to unseeded Tamarine Tanasugarn, 6-3, 6-2 and Kuznetsova lost 6-4, 1-6, 7-5 to 14th-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska in Monday's fourth-round play.

Dementieva was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over No. 24 Shahar Peer but the Williams sisters were also impressive. Serena Williams dumped Bethanie Mattek 6-3, 6-3 and Venus Williams, the defending Wimbledon champion, took out Alisa Kleybanova 6-3, 6-4.
