MLB: Chicago White Sox 9, Cleveland 7

CHICAGO, June 30 (UPI) -- Nick Swisher hit a grand slam and a solo shot Monday, leading the Chicago White Sox past the Cleveland Indians 9-7.

Jim Thome added a three-run home run for the White Sox, who have won five straight.

Gavin Floyd (9-4) gave up four runs on seven hits with a pair of walks and a season-high 10 strikeouts in six innings..

Jhonny Peralta was 5-for-5 with a solo home run, three doubles, three RBI and three runs scored for the Indians, who have lost six of their last eight games. Jeremy Sowers (0-4) allowed eight runs on six hits in just three innings.
