WASHINGTON, June 29 (UPI) -- Luciano Emilio scored two goals for D.C. United, which extended its winning streak to four matches Sunday with a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy.

After starting the 2008 season with two wins against seven losses, D.C. United is now 7-7-1.

Emilio, Major League Soccer's MVP, scored in each half and also contributed an assist.

Nine of Emilio's 10 goals this season have come during the winning streak.

Jaime Moreno and Marcello Gallardo also scored for D.C.

Edson Buddle got the Los Angeles goal.
