WASHINGTON, June 29 (UPI) -- Ronnie Belliard's walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 12th inning Sunday boosted the Washington Nationals over the Baltimore Orioles 3-2.
The dramatic blast, his sixth homer this season, was hit off Baltimore closer and losing pitcher George Sherrill with two outs and two strikes.
It was Sherrill's fourth blown save this season.
Baltimore went ahead 2-1 in the top of the 12th on Adam Jones' RBI single.
Washington scored its other run on Aaron Boone's first-inning groundout.
Willy Harris had two hits for the Nationals, who bounced back from a 9-1 drubbing Saturday night to win twice in the three-game, inter-league series.
After pitching to one batter in the top of the 12th, the winner was Joel Hanrahan (5-2).
Baltimore's Luke Scott belted a solo homer in the seventh.
Like Scott, Nick Markakis had two hits for the Orioles, who have split their last six contests.
Jones went 8 for 13 in the series and scored four times.
