
TORONTO, June 29 (UPI) -- Alex Rios' sixth-inning double produced the lone run Sunday, allowing the Toronto Blue Jays to edge the Atlanta Braves 1-0.
Rios' second hit broke up a scoreless duel between starters A.J. Burnett and Jo-Jo Reyes and gave Toronto its second win in the three-game inter-league series at Rogers Field. His game-winning hit came with one out in the bottom of the sixth and followed a single by Marco Scutaro.
Burnett (8-7) gave up four hits and four walks in seven scoreless innings with 11 strikeouts.
Closer B.J. Ryan earned his 16th save after striking out two the three batters he faced in the ninth.
Reyes (3-6) surrendered the earned run and six hits in seven innings with two walks and five strikeouts.
Gregor Blanco had two of the five hits for the Braves, who have split their last four games.
