Willy Aybar and Evan Longoria had one RBI apiece. Riggans had three hits, while four players had two hits for the Rays, who took two of three contests from Pittsburgh to move into first place in the American League East Division.
Winner Andy Sonnanstine (9-3) gave up two runs -- one earned -- and five hits in seven innings.
Closer Troy Percival earned his 19th save despite walking a batter in the bottom of the ninth. Pittsburgh got one RBI apiece from three players.
