CHICAGO, June 29 (UPI) -- Brian Anderson drove in the winning run with a two-run homer Sunday and the Chicago White Sox beat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 to sweep their inter-league series.

Carlos Quentin led off the fourth inning with a solo home run off Cubs starter and loser Sean Marshall (0-2) to put the Sox up 1-0 and Anderson made it 3-0 an inning later.

Mark Buehrle (6-6) allowed one unearned run on six hits over seven innings, with five strikeouts and two walks for the White Sox, who beat the Cubs three straight at U.S. Cellular Field.

The Sox have five wins in their last six games.

Scott Linebrink and Bobby Jenks each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.

Ronny Cedeno had the Cubs' only RBI, driving in Mark DeRosa with a seventh-inning single.

Sean Marshall (0-2) took the loss, allowing three runs on five hits in seven innings for the Cubs, who lost their fourth straight game and their fifth out of six.

Sox DH Jim Thome drove in two runs with a homer in the eighth -- his 522nd major league homer. Thome passed Ted Williams and Willie McCovey to take over 16th place on the all-time MLB home run list.
