Kurt Busch wins latest Sprint Cup race

LOUDON, N.H., June 29 (UPI) -- Kurt Busch won Sunday's rain-shortened Sprint Cup Lenox Industrial Tools 301 auto race in Loudon, N.H.

He captured his first victory this season when a rain-storm developed and NASCAR officials called the race on the 284th of 300 scheduled laps.

It was the 18th victory in his Sprint Cup career after starting from the 26th position.

"This is unbelievable to get into victory lane (and) we might not have had the best car," he said. "It gives us a boost in the points race, but it's not going to erase our deficit."

Busch had not won since the Pennsylvania 500 last August, a span of 31 races.

Michael Waltrip, J.J. Yeley, Martin Truex Jr. and Elliott Sadler completed the top-five finishers.

Only Truex was in the top-10 before the final round of pit stops.

Tony Stewart dominated much of the race's early portion, but after a pit stop during Lap 271, he finished in 20th place.
