DETROIT, June 28 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera's two-run double in the bottom of the ninth Saturday boosted the Detroit Tigers to a 7-6 win against the Colorado Rockies.
The first baseman's second hit erased a 6-5 deficit with one out off Colorado closer Brian Fuentes (1-3), who blew a save chance for the fourth time this season.
Detroit's Ryan Rayburn belted a grand slam homer in the fourth. One run scored on starter Jeff Francis' third-inning throwing error.
Edgar Renteria had three hits while a total of four players had two hits each for the Tigers (40-40), who reached the .500 plateau for the first time in the 2008 season.
The winner was reliever Freddy Dolsi (1-2).
Colorado's Willy Taveras went 3-for-6 with two RBI. Four others knocked in one run each, including Chris Iannetta, whose RBI double in the top of the ninth gave Colorado its 6-5 lead.
Matt Holliday added two hits for the Rockies, who suffered their sixth straight loss.
