CLEVELAND, June 28 (UPI) -- Johnny Cueto held the Indians to five hits in 6 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday when the Cincinnati Reds downed Cleveland 5-0.
Cueto was staked to a quick 1-0 lead on Adam Dunn's solo home run in the top of the first and then went on to snap a personal three-game losing streak. His last win came June 6 against the Marlins at Florida.
Cincinnati's Paul Bako hit a three-run double in the fourth. Brandon Phillips knocked in a run while both Joey Votto and Jay Bruce had two hits for the Reds, who had lost three of their previous four games.
Casey Blake had three hits and Sal Fasano two for the Indians, who had won two in a row.
Losing pitcher Paul Byrd (3-9) gave up four earned runs and six hits in six innings in his fourth straight defeat.
