
WASHINGTON, June 28 (UPI) -- Garrett Olson gave up an earned run and six hits in five innings Saturday to help the Baltimore Orioles trounce Washington 9-1.
Olson (6-3) walked three batters and struck out five while breaking a personal two-decision losing streak.
Baltimore's Ramon Hernandez hit a two-run homer in the fifth and Luke Scott launched a solo shot in the fourth. Four others had one RBI apiece and one run scored on a third-inning throwing error by starting and losing pitcher John Lannan (4-9).
Adam Jones had four hits and scored three times for the Orioles, who had lost two of three.
Washington's run scored on a single by Lastings Milledge in the bottom of the first. He suffered a groin injury later in the game and has been placed on the 15-day disabled list.
Cristian Guzman and Willy Harris had two hits apiece for the Nationals, who had won two in a row.
