Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- Jermaine Dye hit a two-run homer and Mark Buehrle held the Chicago White Sox to one run over eight innings Tuesday, carrying the LA Dodgers to a 6-1 win.
Buehrle (5-6) scattered six hits and struck out two for Chicago, which ended a season-high, nine-game road losing streak. Scott Linebrink pitched a 1-2-3 ninth.
Dewayne Wise went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the White Sox. Orlando Cabrera scored a run and had an RBI.
The Dodgers' run came on Delwyn Young's solo home run.
Derek Lowe (5-7) gave up five runs on nine hits over 7 1/3 innings.
Los Angeles has lost three of its last four.
