MLB: Baltimore 7, Chicago Cubs 5

CHICAGO, June 25 (UPI) -- Baltimore's' Nick Markakis and Luke Scott drove in two runs each Tuesday, helping the Orioles whip the Chicago Cubs 7-5.

Brian Roberts was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a run batted in for Baltimore, which had lost its last two outings.

Jeremy Guthrie (4-7) gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk in six innings but still got the win. George Sherrill got out of a bases-loaded jam with nobody out in the ninth with three straight strikeouts to earn his 26th save.

Jim Edmonds hit a three-run homer and Kosuke Fukudome also homered and scored twice for the Cubs. Aramis Ramirez added an RBI and a scored a run for Chicago, which ended a 14-game winning streak at Wrigley Field, its longest such streak since June 4-July 10, 1936.

Sean Marshall (0-1) lasted only 4 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk.
