
WASHINGTON, June 23 (UPI) -- John Lackey got his fourth straight win and Garret Anderson drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth Monday to give the LA Angels a 3-2 win over Washington.
Lackey (5-1) gave up two runs -- one earned -- on six hits and two walks in eight innings.
Francisco Rodriguez pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his major league-leading 31st save of the season.
Erick Aybar and Casey Kotchman each had two hits and a run scored in the Angels' fourth straight win.
Washington's Jason Bergmann extended his winless streak to seven straight starts, even though he gave up only one run on six hits seven innings.
Saul Rivera (3-4) allowed two runs -- one earned -- in one inning of relief to suffer the loss.
Willie Harris homered, tripled and scored both of the Nationals' runs in Washington's sixth loss in its last seven games.
