Sluman claims first Champions Tour title

CONCORD, Mass., June 22 (UPI) -- Jeff Sluman shot an 8-under-par 64 Sunday to win the Bank of America Championship at Concord, Mass. -- his first title on the Champions Tour.

Sluman birdied three of the last four holes and finished at 17-under 199, two shots ahead of Loren Roberts, who carded a 67.

Roberts had led by a stroke entering the final round.

"I played very well today," Sluman said. "Loren put up a heck of a fight and he played terrific, too."

The last round at the Nashawtuc Country Club was interrupted by rain delay that lasted an hour and 40 minutes.

Dana Quigley (68) and Mark McNulty (70) shared third place at 11-under, four shots behind Roberts. John Cook (68) placed fifth, another shot back.

Sluman earned $247,500
