SALT LAKE CITY, June 22 (UPI) -- Rookie Tino Nunez scored the game-winner in a 2-1 Real Salt Lake victory over the New England Revolution Saturday, keeping the team undefeated this season.
Nunez scored just after the hour mark after a Javier Morales shot deflected off a defender. But Nunez took the rebound and fired it past goalkeeper Matt Reis.
The goal came after Adam Cristman gave the Revolution the early lead after just eight minutes in.
RSL tied the score three minutes later when Morales fired a free kick into the Revs box -- New England defender Jay Heaps headed the ball into his own net for the own goal.
