
OAKLAND, Calif., June 22 (UPI) -- Dan Uggla's three-run double in the top of the ninth inning Saturday gave the Florida Marlins a 6-4 victory at Oakland.
The contest was tied 3-3 when the second baseman launched his only hit on a fly to deep left field with the bases loaded two outs in the top of the ninth.
Florida also got a solo homer from Cody Ross and one RBI from two others.
Ross was one of three players with two hits for the Marlins, who have won two of their last three games.
The winner was reliever Renyel Pinto (2-2) and closer Kevin Gregg record his 13th save despite giving up a run in the bottom of the ninth.
Oakland got two RBI from both Eric Chavez and Kurt Suzuki.
Bobby Crosby and Ryan Sweeney had two hits apiece for the Athletics, who won the series opener 7-6 in 11 innings on Friday night.
