ATLANTA, June 22 (UPI) -- Switch-hitting Mark Teixeira's three home runs led a 14-hit Atlanta barrage Sunday en route to an 8-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Teixeira ended up with half of Atlanta's RBI, swinging left-handed on two of his homers and right-handed on the other. It was the second time he has hit three home runs in a game in the big leagues.

Brian McCann also homered and Ruben Gotay added a two-run single for the Braves.

Tim Hudson tossed seven shutout innings, allowing four hits, for his eighth win against five losses this season.

Jeff Clement hit a two-run home run for Seattle, which has lost seven of its last nine games.

Mariners starter Carlos Silva (3-9) lasted just four innings, giving up four runs and nine hits.
