EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., June 21 (UPI) -- Kevin Goldthwaite scored the only goal Saturday to give Red Bull New York a 1-0 MLS win over FC Dallas.

The loss spoiled Schellas Hyndman's debut as coach of FC Dallas. Hyndman was hired earlier this week to replace Steve Morrow, who was fired last month

New York (5-4-4), which tied the New England Revolution 1-1 on Wednesday, won for the second time in its last four Major League Soccer matches.

Dallas (4-6-4), which beat the Chicago Fire 1-0 last week, lost for the third time in its last four games and for the fifth time in its last eight.
