WASHINGTON, June 21 (UPI) -- Elijah Dukes singled in the winning run in the 14th inning with his fifth hit of the game Friday, giving Washington a 4-3 victory over Texas.

Ian Kinsler produced a three-run double in the second inning, but Texas could not score again in a game that took more than four hours to complete.

The Rangers played in Washington for the first time since moving from the nation's capital following the 1971 season.

Dukes tied the game in the eighth inning with a solo homer and wound up going five for six.

With one out in the 14th, Jamey Wright (4-3) hit Felipe Lopez with a pitch. Pinch-hitter Paul Lo Duca then drew a walk and Ryan Langerhans walked as well to load the bases.

Wright struck out Cristian Guzman, giving the Rangers a chance to get out of the inning, but Dukes swung at Wright's first pitch and dribbled it through the left side of the infield to deliver Lopez.

Joel Harahan (3-2), the sixth Washington pitcher, got the win by working the final two innings.
