
ATLANTA, June 21 (UPI) -- Brian McCann's broken bat RBI single in the bottom of the ninth Saturday delivered Atlanta's 5-4 victory against the Seattle Mariners.
Atlanta scored four runs in the final two innings to come all the way back from a 3-0 first inning deficit.
Earlier in the ninth, Greg Norton's RBI double created a 4-4 tie.
Atlanta's Ruben Gotay hit a solo homer with two outs in the eighth.
Mark Teixeira and Chipper Jones also had one RBI.
Omar Infante had three hits, while both McCann and Norton had two hits for the Braves, who had lost four of their previous six games.
The winner was Blaine Boyer (2-5).
Seattle's Yuniesky Betancourt had two hits and three RBI.
Jeff Reed drove in one run and Ichiro Suzuki also had two hits for the Mariners, who have lost six of seven.
The losing pitcher after his second blown save this season was Miguel Bautista (3-9).
