PITTSFORD, N.Y., June 20 (UPI) -- Morgan Pressel shot 7-under-par 65 Friday and has a one-stroke lead through 36 holes at the LPGA Wegmans tournament in Pittsford, N.Y.
Her two-round total, 10-under 134, leads second place Suzann Pettersen.
On Friday, Pettersen also shot 65 to make her 36-hole total 9-under 135.
"I saved a couple of good pars early and just tried to stay patient," Pressel said. "Since I am probably one of the shortest hitters out here, I am always looking for distance."
Inbee Park (68) and Ai Miyazato (68) share third at 8-under 136.
Former teen phenom Michelle Wie shot her second straight 1-under 71 to join a group of 16 golfers at 2-under 142, good for a tie for 17th place.
The latter group includes defending champion and world No. 1 Lorena Ochoa, who shot 2-under 70 on Friday, while former world No. 1 Annika Sorentam (72) barely made the cut with her 36-hole total, 1-over 145, leaving her tied for 54th place.
