
CHICAGO, June 19 (UPI) -- Jermaine Dye hit two homers and knocked in six runs Thursday as the Chicago White Sox topped Pittsburgh 13-8.
Both clubs scored six runs in the second inning.
Dye hit an RBI double in the bottom of the second, a solo homer in the third and added a grand slam in the seventh.
Chicago's Orlando Cabrera hit a three-run homer and knocked in four.
Three others had one RBI.
Like Dye, Pablo Ozuna had three hits and three players had two hits for the White Sox, who swept the three-game inter-league series.
The winner was starter Gavin Floyd (8-3).
Pittsburgh's Freddy Sanchez and Nate McLouth had two hits and three RBI each.
Jason Bay had two hits and one RBI.
A run scored on Ozuna's second inning throwing error and four players had two hits for the Pirates, losers of five of six.
Losing pitcher Phil Dumatrait (3-4) surrendered nine earned runs and 11 hits in five innings.
