CINCINNATI, June 18 (UPI) -- Derek Lowe threw three-hit ball over 5 1/3 innings Wednesday and posted his first road win of the year in carrying the Los Angeles Dodgers past Cincinnati 6-1.
It was the Dodgers' second straight after losing five in a row.
Lowe (5-6) struck out six and allowed the Reds' only run before Hong-Chih Kuo and Cory Wade combined to work 2 2/3 scoreless innings.
James Loney and Juan Pierre both drove in two runs and Andre Ethier had three hits for the Dodgers.
Cincinnati has dropped four straight. Bronson Arroyo (4-6) gave up all six runs on seven hits in 6 1/3.
A wild pitch allowed Pierre to score the Dodgers' first run in the opening inning and Ethier singled in Jeff Kemp in the second. Loney hit a solo homer in the fourth, his sixth of the season.
Cincinnati has scored just 17 runs during the first eight contests of a nine-game home stand.
