

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, June 16 (UPI) -- French Open runner-up Dinara Safina was one of Monday's first-round winners at the Ordina Open.
The third-seeded Safina beat France's Pauline Parmentier 6-4, 6-1. Safina has now won 13 of her last 14 matches, with her lone loss at the hands of Ana Ivanovic in the final at the French Open.
In Day 2 upsets, American Ashley Harkleroad defeated fourth-seeded Italian Francesca Schiavone 6-3, 6-4 and Indian Sania Mirza beat fifth-seeded Italian Flavia Pennetta 6-4, 6-3. Mirza is in her second week back after missing three months with a wrist injury.
Also, seventh-seeded Slovenian Katarina Srebotnik beat Spaniard Anabel Medina Garrigues 6-2, 4-6, 6-3; eighth-seeded Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko beat Czech Iveta Benesova 6-4, 4-6, 6-4; and
Dutchwoman Michaella Krajicek won 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (9-7) over Ai Sugiyama of Japan.
