Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MILWAUKEE, June 15 (UPI) -- Minnesota Twins starter Scott Baker struck out four batters in one inning Sunday in the Twins' 4-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Baker struck out Ryan Braun to begin the third inning and then fanned Prince Fielder, who made it to first base after the ball got away from catcher Mike Redmond. Baker then ended the inning by striking out Russell Branyan and Mike Cameron.
The Minnesota right-hander struck out nine batters in the contest but ended up taking his second loss against two wins this season.
Baker was the first big league pitcher to strike out four batters in an inning since Brad Penny of the Los Angeles Dodgers had a four-strikeout inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks Sept. 23, 2006.
