
SAN FRANCISCO, June 15 (UPI) -- Rich Harden and four relievers combined on a six-hit shutout Saturday when the Oakland Athletics beat San Francisco 4-0.
Harden (4-0) yielded one hit in six scoreless innings with two walks and nine strikeouts.
Relievers Brad Ziegler, Alan Embree, Keith Foulke and Huston Street finished up the shutout.
Jack Cust and Daric Barton knocked in one run each, and two runs scored on wild pitches by San Francisco hurlers Jack Taschner and Billy Sadler.
Kurt Suzuki had three hits, while Mark Ellis and Ryan Sweeney had two hits each for the Athletics, who have won three of their last four games.
Randy Winn and Rich Aurilia both had two hits for the Giants, who have dropped three of four.
Losing pitcher Matt Cain (3-5) surrendered three earned runs and six hits in seven innings with a walk and 11 strikeouts.
