MLB: Boston 9, Cincinnati 0

CINCINNATI, June 15 (UPI) -- Josh Beckett and two relievers teamed up on a six-hit shutout Sunday in the Boston Red Sox' 9-0 rout of the Cincinnati Reds.

Beckett (7-4) gave up the six hits in seven scoreless innings with two walks and six strikeouts.

Relievers David Aardsma and Mike Timlin did not give up any hits in the eighth and ninth innings.

Boston's Coco Crisp had two hits, one a two-run homer in the top of the second, and four RBI. Dustin Pedroia hit a solo homer in the first and added a sacrifice fly. Three other players had one RBI each.

Jacoby Ellsbury had three hits, while two others had two hits for the Red Sox, who have won six of seven.

Joey Votto led Cincinnati with three hits. Jolbert Cabrera added two hits for the Reds, who lost twice in the three-game series.

Losing pitcher Homer Bailey (0-3) gave up five earned runs on four hits and three walks in 2 1/3 innings.
