Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

OMAHA, June 15 (UPI) -- Seth Williams drove in three runs for North Carolina Sunday, pacing the Tar Heels to an 8-4 win over LSU in the College World Series in Omaha.
Kyle Seager had three hits and knocked in another run and Tim Fedroff added three hits and two runs scored for North Carolina.
Alex White was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs and four hits over seven innings.
Michael Hollander and Matt Clark homered for the Tigers.
The losing pitcher was starter Ryan Verdugo, who was pounded for 10 hits and six runs in 3 2/3 innings.
North Carolina advanced to a Tuesday game against Fresno State, which moved on with a 17-5 rout of Rice earlier Sunday.
