MLS: Columbus 3, Kansas City 0

KANSAS CITY, Kan., June 14 (UPI) -- Alejandro Moreno scored two goals Saturday and the Columbus Crew broke out of a scoring drought with a 3-0 victory over the Kansas City Wizards.

Columbus ended a stretch of 370 minutes without scoring -- which included four straight shutouts -- when Chad Marshall got a goal in the third minute.

Moreno added his fifth and sixth goals of the year as Columbus (7-4-1) won its first Major League Soccer game since May 10.

Kansas City (3-5-3) is winless in six straight, including four losses.

Columbus moved into second place in the MLS Eastern Conference, four points behind the New England Revolution. Kansas City is last in the Eastern Conference, three points behind Red Bull New York.
