BALTIMORE, June 13 (UPI) -- Brian Roberts and Melvin Mora singled in the tying and go-ahead runs in the sixth Friday as part of a rally that gave Baltimore a 9-6 victory over Pittsburgh.
The Pirates owned a 6-1 advantage through three innings, thanks in part to a three-run homer by Jason Michaels, but the Orioles scored at least once in the fourth through the eighth to halt a two-game skid.
These teams played in Baltimore for the first time since the Pirates claimed Game 7 of the World Series 19 years ago.
The RBI singles by Roberts and Morris in the sixth gave Baltimore a 7-6 lead and Luke Scott chipped in a solo homer in the seventh. Mora scored the game's final run in the eighth on a wild pitch.
After struggling early, Baltimore starter Brian Burres (5-5) stayed around long enough to get the victory. He allowed six runs on eight hits in six innings.
Franquelis Osorio (3-1), the second of four Pittsburgh pitchers, gave up the go-ahead run to take the loss.
Pittsburgh owns baseball's worst all-time inter-league record at 57-95.
