MLB: San Diego 4, LA Dodgers 1

SAN DIEGO, June 12 (UPI) -- Randy Wolf allowed a run over seven innings Wednesday and San Diego came up with two solo homers to defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-1.

Wolf (5-4) allowed only four hits and struck out nine, improving to 3-0 in his last five starts.

Trevor Hoffman recorded his 15th save.

Edgar Gonzalez hit his first home run of the season in the first inning and Khalil Greene followed with one in the second.

Wolf helped his own cause in the third by reaching on a lead-off single and eventually coming around to score on a base hit by Gonzalez.

The Dodgers' lone run came on Andy LaRoche's homer in the fourth.

Chad Billingsley (4-7) took the loss, giving up four runs on seven hits in seven innings.
