
DETROIT, June 10 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera was 3-for-4 with two RBI Tuesday, keying the Detroit Tigers' 6-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.
Placido Polanco also had three hits and scored twice for the Tigers, who have won three of their last four games. Ivan Rodriguez and Brent Clevlen each had two hits and Clevlen added an RBI.
Winning pitcher Nate Robertson (4-6) gave up three runs on eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Todd Jones earned his 11th save with a scoreless ninth.
Jim Thome went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and scored twice for the White Sox, who saw their seven-game win streak halted. Alexei Ramirez and A.J. Pierzynski each had two hits and an RBI in defeat.
Jose Contreras (6-4) suffered the loss as he allowed six runs on 13 hits in six innings.
