WR Marcus Robinson to retire from NFL

LAKE FOREST, Ill., June 9 (UPI) -- Wide receiver Marcus Robinson, who played in more than 100 NFL games, said Monday he was retiring from professional football as a Chicago Bear.

Robinson, an 11-year NFL veteran, played for the Chicago Bears, Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings since being drafted by the Bears in 1997. He totaled 325 receptions for 4,699 yards and 43 touchdowns in 107 career NFL games.

Nearly half of those games were with the Bears. Robinson's best season was 1999 when he caught 84 passes for a Chicago team-record 1,400 yards and nine touchdowns. He played one season with the Ravens, leading the team with six touchdown receptions, and three with the Vikings.
