MLB: Chicago White Sox 7, Minnesota 5

CHICAGO, June 9 (UPI) -- Nick Swisher hit two home runs and Paul Konerko had a two-run homer Monday to power the Chicago White Sox' 7-5 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Swisher was 2-for-3 with three RBI and two walks, and Orlando Cabrera went 4-for-5 as the White Sox swept a four-game series from the Twins in Chicago for the first time inn 31 years.

Matt Thornton (2-1) earned the win for Chicago, allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless seventh inning. Josh Danks pitched the first six innings and allowed five runs on eight hits and three walks.

Minnesota starter Glen Perkins gave up three runs on five hits and three walks in 5 1/3 innings. Matt Guerrier (3-2) suffered the loss after he allowed three runs on four hits and two walks in one-third of an inning as the Twins lost their fifth straight game.

The White Sox, trailing 5-4, batted around in the seventh inning for a three-run comeback.
