MLB: St. Louis 5, Houston 4

HOUSTON, June 8 (UPI) -- Brendan Ryan hit a two-run single during a five-run seventh inning rally that lifted the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-4 victory Sunday over Houston.

The Cardinals' big inning included singles by Yadier Molina and Joe Mather, a hit batsman, a wild pitch and a couple of Houston errors.

Lance Berkman bashed a three-run homer for the Astros, who have lost 10 of 13 games.

St. Louis starter Kyle Lohse (7-2) was the winner, giving up three runs and five hits in six innings.

All of the Cardinals' runs were unearned off losing pitcher, Wandy Rodriguez (2-2), who worked 6 2/3 innings.
