CHICAGO, June 6 (UPI) -- Carlos Quentin hit a three-run homer in a six-run fifth Friday and the Chicago White Sox rallied from an early deficit to defeat Minnesota 10-6.
The Twins staked Nick Blackburn to a 3-0 lead in the third inning, but in his first start since being struck in the face by a line drive, the Minnesota starter could not protect the advantage.
Chicago cut its deficit to 3-2 through four innings and broke the game open in the fifth. The White Sox loaded the bases with three singles and Orlando Cabrera's base hit drove in the first run of the inning.
A.J. Pierzynski then doubled home two more and, after Juan Rincon relieved Blackburn (4-4), Quentin hit his 16th homer of the season.
Javier Vazquez (6-4) got the win, despite allowing four runs on nine hits in 5 1/3. It was Chicago's fourth straight victory.
