Tommie Harris' wife dies

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., June 5 (UPI) -- A header goal by Juan Pablo Angel with 15 minutes remaining Thursday gave New York a 1-0 victory over Chivas USA.
Dane Richards sent a cross to Angel, who came through from 11 yards out for his second goal of the season.
New York halted a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-3-2.
Chivas (4-5-2) had won its previous three outings.
New York did not get its first shot on goal until the 64th minute.
