
MINNEAPOLIS, June 5 (UPI) -- Adam Jones' solo seventh home run Thursday boosted the Baltimore Orioles to a 3-2 win at Minnesota.
Jones' second hit and third homer this season broke a 2-2 tie leading off the top of the seventh.
Nick Markakis also had two hits, one a two-run homer in the third, for the Orioles, who won twice in the three-game series at the Metrodome.
Winner Garrett Olson (5-1) gave up two earned runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Closer George Sherrill recorded his 20th save after giving up a hit and striking out two batters in the bottom of the ninth.
Minnesota got one RBI apiece from Alexei Casilla and Mike Redmond.
Both players had three hits for the Twins, who have split their last four games.
The losing pitcher was reliever Brian Bass (2-2).
