Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

SEATTLE, June 1 (UPI) -- Miguel Cabrera hit a two-run double during a four-run, ninth-inning rally Sunday that carried the Detroit Tigers past Seattle 7-5.
Singles by Placido Polanco and Magglio Ordonez drove in the other two Detroit runs in the ninth.
Ordonez totaled two RBI and Carlos Guillen and Ivan Rodriguez drove in the other Tigers' runs.
Zach Miner (2-3) got the win, pitching a scoreless eighth inning in relief of Jeremy Bonderman, who had given up 12 hits and three runs over seven innings.
Raul Ibanez, who had three RBI, and Adrian Beltre homered for the Mariners.
J.J. Putz (2-3) took the loss, yielding four runs and four hits in the ninth.
