Tommie Harris' wife dies

HOUSTON, May 31 (UPI) -- Brian Ching scored the game's only goal in the 68th minute Saturday to give the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 MLS victory over New York.
Houston was missing some of its regulars, including goalkeeper Pat Onstad and midfielder Dwayne De Rosario, who are on international duty with Canada. Eddie Robinson was absent because of a suspension, and captain Wade Barrett was out with an injury.
Despite the absences, the Dynamo got their third win in their last five games.
Houston goalkeeper Tony Caig needed only three saves to get his first MLS win and second career shutout.
