ARLINGTON, Texas, May 30 (UPI) -- Kevin Millwood was outstanding in his return from the disabled list Friday and Brandon Boggs drove in all of Texas' runs in a 3-1 Rangers victory over Oakland.
The Rangers, who at one point this season were nine games under .500, returned to the breakeven mark and moved within 1 1/2 games of Oakland for second place in the American League West.
Millwood (3-3) came off the 15-day disabled list (groin strain) Thursday, and got the win by giving up a run on five hits over six innings.
Three relievers worked an inning each, with C.J. Wilson picking up his 11th save.
Justin Duchscherer, who had a no-hitter working through 6 1/3 innings in his previous outing, took the loss. Duchscherer (4-4) surrendered two runs on six hits in six innings.
Boggs doubled home Michael Young with the game's first run in the fourth, gave Texas a 2-1 lead in the sixth with a sacrifice fly and delivered Josh Hamilton with a double in the eighth.
