
CHICAGO, May 30 (UPI) -- A six-run seventh inning Friday helped the Chicago Cubs bounce back from a 9-1 deficit and edge the Colorado Rockies 10-9.
In their huge rally, Henry Blanco and Mark DeRosa hit two-run homers and Jim Edmonds hit a two-run double.
In all, both DeRosa and Edmonds had three RBI each and Kosuke Fukodome also knocked in two runs.
Fukodome was one of three players with two hits for the Cubs, who have won five games in a row.
The winner was Scott Eyre (2-0) with closer Kerry Wood recording his 13th save.
Colorado's Jeff Baker had four hits, one RBI and scored twice.
Todd Helton and Chris Iannetta hit two-run homers and Ryan Spilborghs added a solo shot.
Omar Quintinilla had two hits and two RBI and was one of three players with two hits for the Rockies, whose losing streak grew to five straight.
The losing pitcher was Manny Corpas (0-3).
