MLS: New England 2, D.C. United 2 (tie)

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., May 29 (UPI) -- Kheli Dube scored in the 72nd minute Thursday to finish off a New England rally that allowed the Revolution to forge a 2-2 tie with D.C. United.

Matt Reis made eight saves to help New England (6-3-2) take the lead in the Eastern Conference. United is in last place in the conference at 3-7-1, 10 points behind New England.

Goals by Luciano Emilio and Fred gave United the lead early in the second half, but the Revolution began its comeback when Adam Cristman scored in the 59th minute.

The tying goal came when Steve Ralston sent a free kick into the penalty area that was headed across the goalmouth by Jeff Larentowicz. Dube was there to head the ball into the net.
