The Royals lost their 11th consecutive game, their longest losing streak in two years. The streak was extended on Wednesday when Kansas City blew a five-run lead in the ninth en route to a 9-8, 10-inning setback against the Twins.
Slowey (2-4) struck out six and did not walk a batter in a 101-pitch effort. He won his second straight start.
Carlos Gomez had four hits and drove in two runs, helping the Twins to their first three-game sweep of the Royals since April 2005.
Michael Cuddyer broke a scoreless tie in the fourth with an RBI single and Joe Mauer doubled home the Twins' second run in the fifth.
Gomez polished off a three-run sixth with a two-run single.
The loss went to Luke Hochevar (3-5), who surrendered nine hits and five runs in 5 1/3.
