PARIS, May 27 (UPI) -- No. 4-seeded Svetlana Kuznetsova posted a win Tuesday in the women's half of the French Open, where rain again forced postponement of dozens of matches.

Rain interrupted play three times Tuesday. After 18 women's scheduled matches failed to get in Monday, another 30 were either suspended or postponed Tuesday. Among the Tuesday matches that never got started was world No. 1 Maria Sharapova's first-round match.

Kuznetsova was one of a handful of players to get a match in Tuesday. She raced past Aiko Nakamura 6-2, 6-3 in just more than an hour.

In other matches involving seeded players, No. 13-seeded Dinara Safina routed Kateryna Bondarenko, 6-1, 6-3; 14th-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska took a 6-4, 6-3 decision from Mariya Koryttseva; 22nd-seeded Amelie Mauresmo got past Olga Savchuk, 7-5, 4-6, 6-1; and 31st-seeded Ai Sugiyama was a 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 winner over Alla Kudryavtseva.

Also picking up victories Tuesday were Olivia Sanchez, Sabine Lisicki and Carla Suarez Navarro.
