Big Brown is to go for the Triple Crown June 7 at the Belmont Stakes' title='Belmont Stakes' class='tpstyle'>Belmont Stakes. Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. said the current injury shouldn't keep Big Brown out of the Belmont. No horse has won the Triple Crown since Affirmed in 1978.

The horse was given a light jog around Belmont Park early Tuesday.

Hoof specialist Ian McKinlay sutured the crack in Big Brown left front hoof Monday, Dutrow said. Further examinations are expected.

Big Brown is undefeated in five career races, taking in more than $2.7 million in purses. The total purse for the Belmont is $1 million and there is a $5 million bonus should a horse complete the Triple Crown.
