NHL: Detroit 3, Pittsburgh 0

DETROIT, May 26 (UPI) -- Detroit's Chris Osgood blocked 22 shots and the Red Wings knocked off Pittsburgh 3-0 Monday for a two-game lead in the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Detroit goalie has turned back all 41 shots he has faced through the first two games.

The Red Wings lead 2-0 going into Game 3 Wednesday in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins are unbeaten in eight playoff games this year.

Valtteri Filppula and Brad Stuart each had a goal and an assist and Tomas Holmstrom also scored for the Wings, who are trying to win their fourth Stanley Cup in the past 11 years.

The Penguins' Marc-Andre Fleury gave up the three Detroit goals. He also was the victim of Detroit's 4-0 win in Game 1.

Pittsburgh. is in the finals for the first time since 1992.
