NEW YORK, May 26 (UPI) -- Luis Gonzalez hit a three-run double and Florida relief pitchers worked four perfect innings Monday, enabling the Marlins to beat the sinking New York Mets 7-3.
The Mets have lost seven of their last eight games.
Jeremy Hermida, Matt Treanor and Mike Jacobs each had an RBI for Florida, which has won six of seven.
Ricky Nolasco (4-3) gave up three runs on nine hits in five innings. Doug Waechter threw two relief innings without a walk or hit.
Losing pitcher Mike Pelfrey (2-6) allowed six runs on six hits in four innings.
Jose Reyes hit two home runs for the Mets.
